When to patch the Azure VM - After Resize the VM or before? what will be the advantage and disadvantages on both cases?

Hi anonymous user ,

If you say "resize" do you mean increase or decrease the compute part of the VM, changing to a different VM SKU?
"Patching" means installing "Updates"?

I would prefer to install the updates at the moment the VM has the best performance, before decreasing or after increasing the VM size.
Just because the updates might install faster at this stage.
