Locked out og microsoft office 365 due to microsoft authenticator
I enabled MFA on my global admin account to increase security but I'm now in a loop of trying to sign in through the Microsoft authenticator but it asking to authenticate through the app and obviously that's not possible since I'm in the app trying to sign in.
So when I try to login, I am asked to verify with the MS authenticator app or use code from mobile app.
I can change the password, but can't login due to the MFA.
When I select other sign in options I can't select mobile TXT, voice call or email authentication.
I am completely locked out and unable to log in to any of my business emails and accounts on this domain.
I created a technical support ticket with Microsoft support on the 15th who told me that a Data Protection team engineer would call me within 36 hours to resolve the issue. No one contacted me. I called the 17th and they said an engineer will contact me within 24 hours. Nothing. I called the 18th and got the same promise of getting a call and never got one.
This is well beyond acceptable customer support.
