Add delay time to the taskbar auto-showing (when set to auto-hide)

This is a copy of a previous thread [add-delay-time-to-the-taskbar-autoshowing-when-set-to-autohide][1], which I think was answered incorrectly.

I have my taskbar on auto-hide. When I move my mouse to the bottom of the screen I want the taskbar to remain hidden until a certain delay has passed. Any ideas if/how this can be done?

In contrast to the answer in the old post, this is not accomplished by the ExtendedUIHoverTime that only affects the thumbnails/lists and not the taskbar itself?

    Hi @Fredrik Hagebring

I suppose this is not a feature with default windows but it is possible by using some third-party apps like TaskBarActivate. You can follow the below article for the discussion on this. Some users have stated that this works well for them.
