High Memory

My computer is currently very slow due to a software known as .NET Framework installation util.eve (InstallUtil.exe)

Because of this it has taken up to 98% of my Memory in task manager. Specifically 5000 MB.

I have already tried to change this using the advanced settings in system, but no luck. I’ve emptied my C drive, nothing. I deleted a bunch of junk and still nothing. When I end the task in task manager it comes back within seconds as it is necessary for the computer so I cannot end the task permanently.

It’s so bad every time I open a software that is not file explorer, control panel, task manager, or settings my computer completely freezes.

This started happening today when I was installing a new game but the supporting GB and MB requirements were met. I have been trying for three hours to fix it, may someone please help?

    Hi @seb cool ,
Installutil.exe (Installer Tool) is used to deploy and install Windows services.
It may be installing all the necessary assemblies for your game.
Does this still happen after the game is installed?

    Best Regards.
