ADF activity status is taking longer time to update and sometime not updating

This is been observed that ADF activity task is getting completed but Activity status stay's IN PROGRESS , Hence subsequent activity is not starting.

Example : Copy activity - Copy started copying data from Source to Target. and JOB got completed in 2 MIN with Succeeded Message , But Copy Activity status remain IN PROGRESS for So long , Sometime we need to cancel it manually.

Seems Like there is some issue at ADF side or Integration Runtime not able communicate the message properly.

Can you check the details tab of your COPY activity, there it shows the actions that are being performed and the time taken by each action in the COPY activity

As we understand the ask here is that your copy activity status remain IN PROGESS for longer time if though the job completed in few minutes. Please correct if I'm not accurate.

If you are still facing the issue consistently, then it may require deeper analysis to figure out the root cause. If you have a support plan, please file a support ticket else do let us know here so that we can assist you offline.
