HYPER-V vSwitch

Hello, good afternoon,

I have a Hyper-v host, configured with three teams, of which, I only have one available team to create a vswitch with a certain vlan, but it is the administration team of the hyper-v host

If I select teaming to create the vswitch, the hyper-v host, would I lose communication and the hyper-v host server would go down?

The idea of configuring the vswitch is that the network interface for that VM interface must go through a specific vlan, because the other two vswitches are connected to other different vlan teaming.

    Hello,

I carried out this test in a laboratory and proceeded to create the external vswitch and attach it to the administration teaming, also leave the option to share the network adapter enabled and configure its respective vlan to the vswitch and the virtual adapter of the VM.

Indeed, a vEthernet was generated, where I configured the administration IP and had communication from the physical host to the vm and from the vm to the physical host.

I forgot to mention that the physical host teaming is configured with a vlan, and the vm in a different vlan.

I give an example the teaming of the physical host is in vlan 10, while the vswitch and virtual adapter tag them with vlan 20.

In the Lab scenario there is communication between the host and the vm, I have to do the test in the real scenario.

In the same way I want to know if this configuration that I make is correct or if there is any other suggestion.

    Hello,

I was doing the tests, however I have no communication from the vm to the physical host.

From the physical host I have communication with the gateway of the vm.

But I have no communication with the administration ip from the host to the vm, nor from the vm to the physical host.

Additionally, I tried to create the administration vswitch with the admin teaming, and indeed I had a connection to the physical host, I had to remove the external vswitch from the teaming to recover the connection to the physical host.

    any suggestion.

I forgot to mention that the physical host is part of a failover clustering with two hosts.
