It will be appropiate to gather more details about what exactly is preventing the updates or the specific error. For this you can run the next Powershell command:
Get-WindowsUpdateLog
The file will be created usually to the Desktop of the user running it. Inside you can find the update operations information, and at the bottom you can find the latest ones and you can look for "ERROR" or 0X... codes.
