Hi guys,

i need an advice. I must configure a AD connector to use some local AD user with teams and later also with exchange online (but not now). i have an exchange 2016 installation

So, the first question. When i configure the AD Connector is better the check the exchange hybrid deployment now or can activate after?

Now, i can ignore to configure my company.com domain into azure and use only my company.local? or i better to validate the right domain before start? on my AD i have already register the UPN entry with the domain company.com

And last question, is better the password hash or pass-through?

thanks

Andrea

    Hi,

When i configure the AD Connector is better the check the exchange hybrid deployment now or can activate after?

You can Activate "the exchange hybrid deployment" since the first configuration, also you can change the configuration later.

i can ignore to configure my company.com domain into azure and use only my company.local?

In admim.microsoft.com you must configure the company.com domain. Especially if you are going to migrate the mail.

And last question, is better the password hash or pass-through?

If you have only one Azure AD connect it is better a Password Hash, the pass-through requires more configurations at your infrastructure. Recommend you use the password hash, at least at the beginning.
