SharePoint Search taking longer time(7 hours) from past few weeks for Incremental crawl + sharepoint 2010

from past few weeks incremental crawl is taking too much time almost 7 hours to get completed where as it was just taking 15 to 20 mins before.
I have seen there is no security updated happening so that side is good.
Can you advise the fix for this or way to investigate on the issue.

Unfortunately this isn't enough information to work from. If your DPS for the content source is low, it could be a number of factors such as the crawlers CPU usage on the Search server or the target box it is crawling, or poor network performance, or poor disk I/O, etc.

You could refer to the similar issue here :

"The time difference in crawl can be attributed to expansion of the SharePoint Group and also that the group is at the site collection level and affects items beyond the list. If a SharePoint group has several thousand users at site collection level, you can see how this can be very expensive. Also, a large number of items within that site collection can add to the delay because new ACL changes will be pushed down to every item affected by the security change."
