Hi,

I have a domain name that I bought through Azure but my site itself is hosted outside Azure.
I am trying to update my nameserver (NS) record for my externally hosted website and hence don't want to use Azure DNS zone.
Azure portal does provide guidance for this scenario stating:

If you don't want to host your domain on Azure DNS then you can still manage the DNS records through the Advanced Management portal.

But I can't see the option of 'Advanced Management portal' under the 'Domain Management' section within the 'App Service Domain' service.

Any idea if this feature has been moved/removed?

If your subscription is Pay-As-You-Go then that's the reason you do not see this option. Advanced Management Portal access was removed for those types of subscriptions. Since you don't want to use Azure DNS, one option is to transfer you domain through the management API. The steps are outlined in the Managing an App Service Domain blog post. There are some special cases so if you need further assistance or you encounter an issue, please do comment down below.
