We are getting every time Agent status not ready azure for linux RHEL 7.9 VM. Agent Status and version is unknown.
Unable to uninstall the extensions. Not been able to reset configuration.
Tried doing below steps as per some links :

  1. Changed VM disk size.
  2. Redeploy and Reapply.

Please suggest some solution for the same without using powershell commands.

    Hello @Ashwini kumar ,

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft QnA

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/azure/virtual-machines/linux-azure-guest-agent#troubleshoot-a-not-ready-status

    1. Check the service status of the Azure Linux Agent to make sure it's running. The service name might be walinuxagent or waagent.

    service waagent status

    1. If the service is running, restart it to resolve the issue. If the service is stopped, start it, wait a few minutes, and then check the status again.

    service waagent restart

    service waagent start

If the issue is still ongoing after restarting the service, I would advise in following this documentation

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/extensions/update-linux-agent#red-hat--centos

    1. Check your current package version
      sudo yum list WALinuxAgent
    2. Check available updates
      sudo yum check-update WALinuxAgent
    3. Install the latest package version
      sudo yum install WALinuxAgent
    4. Restart the waagent service
      sudo service waagent restart
