I am curious if someone can confirm what are necessary licenses now needed for a new On-Prem VDI deployment. (Post Jan.1 2022)
In the past, we could use an EA or Open License with a KMS key to license and activate the VMs.
It would seem that now we no longer have access to purchase new Volume or Open Licenses and that E3/E5 Windows 10/11 subscriptions via CSP are not entitled to virtualization rights on-prem.
Is this still the case? If not, I have not been able to find an updated document and would love some clarification to the correct way to deal with this.

Did you find any solution for your issue?
I have asked this question 1 or 2 years ago and I found a way to activate the ON-prem vdi with an hybrid connection to O365 to get the on-prem vdi object into the Azure AD + Business premium licenses but it seams not working anymore... Don't know why.

Thanks for the response, however this deals only with Azure activation. I am interested in On-Prem VDI sessions.

Sorry no, this is from 2012 and doesn't address E3/E5 and VDA subscriptions via CSP. I only see SA or VL here , which is no longer an option.
When you refer to CSP is Customer service provider ?
When you stated to assign it from CSP... Are you referring from the partner center portal???/
CSP referring to Cloud Solution Provider.
