Hi I’ve been trying to recover my email when I was asked to re enter my password which I don’t see the reason why I have to. Anyway as I set my email up so long ago I couldn’t remember it and changed it however it still logged me out then it asked for my phone number but I don’t have that number anymore, I need this account back as it’s linked to my work, doctor etc and all I want to do is speak to a human about it but that seems impossible and it’s immensely frustrating why can’t Microsoft have a number that you can ring up and sort these things out, it’s taken me just over a week to get this far, Also I did all steps it asked me to about information and it came back with they can’t recover it back to me as I haven’t provided enough information, all I want is my email account back and it driving me insane on how difficult it’s proving to be.

Thanks Connie

    Hi Connie Beard,
Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

I completely understand your concern! If you are unable to restore your account, here is a complete solution to regain access to your account:
You can try using the account recovery form, enter your Hotmail/Oliver email address, then click "Next", select "I don't have these details", and fill in the account details (to increase the success rate of the recovery process).

    https://account.live.com/acsr

If the self-recovery method doesn't work, you can also contact our customer team. Because the tools available to the community team are limited, and you can obtain account information. Microsoft has a dedicated customer support team who will do their best to help you restore your account to normal, but whether your account can be restored successfully depends on the specific circumstances of your account.

    1. Click on the website -- Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the "We Are Here to Serve You" section, enter "MSA" and click "Request Help", then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you must log in using your personal Microsoft account.
Note: You can only use your personal MSA for login. Your company account will not display the correct content. If you cannot connect to this account, you can use another account or create a new one to run it.
    4. Under the "Products and Services" option, select the "Other Products" option, then select "Manage Account Security" as the category, and click "Confirm" to proceed.
    5. You can choose "Chat with a Support Expert in the Web Browser" to open the chat window.
Please do contact the online support service during office hours (local time) to receive the best assistance. However, the online support is not available 24/7.
Wish you and your account all the best. Thank you very much for your patience and cooperation.

    Best Regards,
Tamara-Hu | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
