Can't verify custom domain name

I'm trying to verify my domain. I was able to add the TXT record to my registrar, and the propagation was successful. But, now that I'm trying the "verify button" I get an error saying the following:

"This domain has been previously configured on reevco.onmicrosoft.com using an existing Azure AD or Office 365. To verify this domain name, you will first need to remove the domain name from the existing directory. Click here for more information."

I also tried to verify the domain for an OAuth app using the JSON and was not successful. I was getting the following error:

    Hi @Felipe Teixeira , since you can't access the tenant to delete the domain, please send an email to "azcommunity@microsoft.com" with subject "ATTN: James Hamil" and your current subscription ID and I can get you a free support ticket.
