I know, without a doubt, that this question has been asked about a million times. But, I am mortally baffled by the innate incoherence of the Microsoft Authentication app. How can it be such a pile of garbage? It's not only unnecessarily complicated, it's a built in boot loop. When I try to sign into my work account, and...within the app itself, it asks me to use the app to verify the app...WFT? I understand the importance of security. But companies are forcing their employees to use an app that, in itself creates deliberate complexity, confusion and paradoxical looping so much so that the average user (to the tune of millions) is clawing their way through the amazon forest of Google forums to find a single shred of information that might lead them to a light of hope in making the app actually work. Only to find the generic slobberings of tech garble that only creates more confusion. What is the end goal here? Is it to create such labyrinth of protection that the very thing your trying to protect get locked out of it's own shelter? Because that's what's happening. The nukes are flying and we're all standing outside of the shelter watching our impending doom. All because, instead of giving alternative options to unlock the door and get to safety...we're all trapped in a garbage app...that want us to use the app to verify the app. Brilliant.
