Windows 11 build 22533.1001 failed to do Windows Update

My machine: Dell XPS 8950 and another Intel 12400 with B660m motherboard.

Both install a new Windows 11 from scratch with the insider ISO of Windows 11 build 22533.1001. And both have the same problems doing Windows Update now...

My account joined insider Dev channel so the Windows Update installs the drivers and upgrade to ni_prerelease version 22572.201

Both of the machine encounter the Windows Update error which some drivers shows "Update status unknown". After a reboot, the Windows Update just shows the icon without any further information. Or even worse, it just shows "Something went wrong. Try to reopen settings later."

I cannot switch from Dev to Beta Channel in the Windows Insider Program. It just gave a big red error icon on the top.

Dev channel is known to have bugs and unexpected issues and I advise you to open the Feedback Hub app and file a bug report and report this issue.
Try update those drivers manually from your device's manufacturer website.

    Hi @Liya Du

Based on your description it seems you have installed the Dev version and trying to downgrade to Beta.

If you installed an Insider Preview build in the Beta Channel or Release Preview Channel, you’ll have no issues switching between channels.

However, if you have installed a build in the Dev Channel that’s not tied to a specific release, you will have no choice but to do a clean install of Windows while resetting your Windows Insider settings to make the switch permanent.

A deeper look at flighting might help you in understanding the process.

    Hope this resolves your Query!!
