SharePoint ?master background file?

Good afternoon,

Basically, we use SharePoint for the whole organization and there was someone who used to work for us that got SharePoint to interact with a bunch of different pages and data sources using JavaScript where the scripts would touch files and format the site pages. I've found a number of scripts and style sheets but naturally there is no real documentation on how everything works. I've watched videos on how to use JavaScript on a SharePoint site page and everything I've seen instructs me to use a web part or embed code to add it to the page. The issue is that none of these are being used yet there is definitely code still in use on that page, when you click 'edit page' it will show the web parts but the tables that the JS creates are somehow not involved called on the site page itself. Is there some kind of master file? Something stored at a top level that will go down to a specific page that it can then format? I haven't been able to find any information on any of this from the start. If anyone has had something similar happen or created SharePoint site pages like this, how did you do it?

If it helps any, everything started breaking at the start of the new year, Jan 1 2022 when the 2010 SharePoint flows were no longer supported.

Thank you
