I lost my only on premise DC without backup and need help

Hi
I created a DC on Virtual box and was practising on it for the last year.

I also joined it to my cloud Azure domain using AD Connect.

Unfortunately, I was trying to clean up my Hypervisor files and accidentally deleted an old snapshot from the VM folder and now the VM cannot start.

oddly enough I had another copy of the VMs on an external HDD but that whole HDD was corrupted somehow (my luck).

also, I tried some recovery tools but the files that I recovered didn't work either.

I need help to understand what can I do to create a hyper environment again.

1- can I somehow with some effort rebuild the on-premise DC using the data from my Azure AD?
2- if this didn't work can I delete my old DC configuration and accounts from Azure AD so I can create a fresh DC on-premise and connect to it again.

good thing that it's only for my practice but now I don't know how to make it work again so I can continue my study.

Thanks

As far as the on premise is concerned from what you described you'll need to build out a new one. Also note it is always recommended to have at least two domain controllers for high availability and disaster mitigation.

You can follow along here to clean up the azure resource.
