When we reboot we get unexpected reboot notice

Hello,

we have a number of servers that are seemly randomly getting unexpected reboot events 6008, after we have initiated a reboot.

we have around 8 servers and it's often a different one each week with the issue. Events are not quite consistent between instances of the event. Sometimes we get 109 and 1074 ahead of the 6008, sometimes either one of them (109,1074) only.

The issue has been seen when we use ESETor AWS to initiate a reboot. Asking here if I can get any help on diagnosing the issue, pulling my hair out. all windows 2016 boxes, patched up to March. I have not received any help from AWS forums so far and unfortuantly we don't have support in place for reasons.

thank you all

    Hello,
sorry I did not respond. work has taken me other directions for a while.

I have also found that using shutdown.exe and rebooting the server from windows can have the same issue. seeing now that machines that have unexpected reboots do not have the 109 prior. The same machines when rebooting successfully have the 109 (The kernel power manager has initiated a shutdown transition.). All cases they have the 1074 e.g. (The process C:\Windows\system32\shutdown.EXE has initiated the restart...)

software should be all updated / current.
