update for KB4534276 on w10 version 1709 fails with 0x8007065e

Several machines, isolated, and going to STAY isolated, of dissimilar hardware, have errored on applying the patch for KB4534276, error:

0x8007065e: Data type not supported.

I have tried catching up the CUs that I knew were missing, but the error persists.

Does anyone know what this patch is looking for?
