Good morning,
I have a quick question regarding visual studio 2022 and I would like to seek your help and expertise.
I read that visual studio 2022 does not require the Net frame work but I want to make sure that it is not needed before I
download vthe isual studio.
I have a Window Server 2016 , and I have the net frame work 4.0 . I need to download visual studio and I want to ask you if visual studio professional 2022 is OK for me to download , and I don't need any NET framwork , right?

where there is :
.NET Framework 4.5.2 or above is required to install Visual Studio.
Visual Studio requires .NET Framework 4.8 to run. If .NET Framework 4.8 isn't already installed, it will be installed during setup.

For his security reason my Server Admin does not want to upgrade to the new net framwork in my window server 2016, they want to remain in the existing net framwork 4.0; Then I would like to seek your expertise if there is an existing older version of visual Studio Professional out there that I could download for Net Framwork 4.0?
If there is older version for Net framwork 4.0, could you please give me the link?

You can see in the docs that even old versions like VS 2015 need .NET Framework 4.5.2
And I don't understand why not upgrading to 4.8 for "security reasons"... (the most recent versions of any product are normally more secure than older ones)
Can Visual Studio 2017 runs on net framework 4.7.0 ?
