I can't open any old docs in Microsoft Office 2021

Today I updated Microsoft 2007 to 2021 and I'm unable to open any old documents. I've tried to set up office as a default app multiple times with no change. The icon next to the doc is always a blank piece of paper

    Hi @Tracy Thorsen ,

    Have you tried the following method?

    Right-click on the document you want to convert and select Open with followed by Word.
