Hi everybody,
I'm currently setting up an Always on Availability Group but got stuck at some point.
Specifically, I configured AG on the subnet 192.168.1.0/24 and my listener has IP 192.168.2.100. I tried to test my AG and everything is ok when I ping, connect to the listener in the same subnet (192.168.1.0/24).

However, I configure my application tier on the subnet 192.168.2.0/24, and when I use the connection string to connect to the listener, it gave me fails. Additionally, my app joins to DNS and tried to connect to the listener with the DNS name instead.

On all servers, the firewall is disabled and the network rule is allowed for all.

Can connect to the listener from other subnets?

Thank you everyone for helping me!

    Hi @Tân. Trần Nhật ,

Suggest you using listener IP address in connection string to connect to SQL server AG when your application and SQL server AG are in different subnet. Can they ping each other successfully? Please test port connectivity using TELNET to the server and port from the client machine.  What the error message that you got when the connection failed?
