manual renewal not allowed for App Service Certificate

I'm having troubles renewing app service certificates. Two week ago a certificate that was configured for auto renewal expired.
In just over a month from now, another certificate is set to expire. Again, the auto renewal function didn't renew the certificate. I'm now trying to manually renew the certificate, but I'm receiving the following error: "Manual renewal not allowed at this time".

What can be the reason for this error? Is there any way to renew the certificate another way? I rather not manually configure a new certificate when it expires, because it costed me lots of time when the other certificate expired last time.

Depending on your certificate provider and configuration, there might be alternative methods for renewing certificates. For example, you could use a different method or tool outside of the Azure portal. Consult the documentation for your specific certificate provider for guidance on alternative renewal methods.
