Unable to create AKS in Southeast Asia Region

I'm trying to create a new AKS cluster in Southeast Asia region but there is no VM sizes available to select in my subscription. Any advice?

    Hello @Joey Choong ,
    Once an AKS cluster gets created in one region , there is no provision to move directly that AKS cluster to other region. When the capacity is available - you will have to re-create it in that region and re-deploy all those required deployment YAML files.

    Based upon the above screen shot , It seems in that region your subscription don't have either enough vCPU quota or some zonal restrictions .

    of what might be happening on your subscription , try to go through that check list.

    There is one more good document about SKU not available to validate on your subscription: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/troubleshooting/error-sku-not-available?tabs=azure-cli

    As per the above document: please run : az vm list-skus --location southeastasia --output table
    In the output check the last column values i.e. Restrictions.

    You can raise a support request to request access to the region by following the doc: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/azure/general/region-access-request-process
    You can also raise a request to increase cpu quota for a particular VM in a region by following the doc: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/per-vm-quota-requests#:~:text=In%20the%20Azure%20portal%2C%20search%20for%20and%20select,Quota%20type%2C%20select%20Compute-VM%20%28cores-vCPUs%29%20subscription%20limit%20increases.

    Adding to Shiva's answer above, this could be a capacity issue affecting your subscription for that particular region i.e. Southeast Asia.
    If you are facing this issue with a new subscription, my recommendation is to try the following regions - Asia East, Korea Central, Australia East.

    Let me know if you are able to create VMs in these alternative recommended regions.

    does this output indicate I need request access to the Southeast Asia region? It seems some of the larger nodes are available.
    In the Quotas screen, I also see 0 / 10 for the sizes I intend to use.

    To add on, its not a new empty subscription but it was created about 1 month+ ago, the subscription has a test AKS cluster in East US region.

    I am able to create in East Asia, Australia East. However, Southeast Asia is the nearest geographically to our target users.
    Will it be possible to move the cluster to Southeast Asia when capacity is available in the future?
