I have a VM in UK South region. I have my various applications running on this server. Since last few days, I have been facing a weird issue. Our service calls are getting failed due to connection time out error and after some time it suddenly gets back to work. I checked network and CPU usage, which is normal during this time. I face this issue around 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM BST (UK time). Can it be some issue with Azure platform? Can anyone please guide us on how to resolve this issue?

    Hi @Matt Jones

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q & A Forums .

Speaking of your issue , If its happening regularly try to run a perf insights report for this VM from azure portal at around the the time of occurrence and it will give you some good insights :
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/azure/virtual-machines/performance-diagnostics

Another suggestion is to check if your VM's NSG is wide open to public , and try to restrict it :
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/azure/virtual-machines/cannot-rdp-azure-vm-brute-force

If either of those doesn't help , You might have to work with one of our VM Support team member via a Support ticket .

    Hope this helps .

    Thanks,
    Pradeep
