WSUS - SUP * How to fix General Exception?

Hi to all, Have you know any good website with a lot of details to know how to fix this issue? (CM 1910) ![21043-image.png][1] [1]: /api/attachments/21043-image.png?platform=QnA It appeared in the wsyncmgr.log and I am pretty sure is about WSUS maintenanced

    We could check if the site system role of SUP is in OK status, and Component Status of SMS_WSUS_SYNC_MANAGER, SMS_WSUS_CONTROL_MANAGER and SMS_WSUS_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER is in OK status. On the side of WSUS, we could sync manually to check if connection is normal by following screenshot: ![21137-8289.png][1] Besides, could we know our version of Windows server for WSUS? 2012 R2? If so, it is recommended to install the KB4022720 on the WSUS Server to see whether this issue will be resolved.     I would say do the maintenance of your WSUS database aka SUSDB and tune your WSUS Application IIS pool.

    Hi Harjit

    I have already read that Guide (SUP - WSUS). And I also created the optional non-clusttered index but I keep seeing log entries in Wsyngmgr like:

    "Generic exception : ImportUpdateFromCatalogSite failed. Arg = {GUID}, Error =The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occured on a send."

    Have you ever seen this error? which is the underlying connection that was closed?

    Perhaps, it is taking to much time to fix it. and it probably gets fix it sooner.

    in the guide says:

    "With the understanding that this maintenance needs to be done, I bet you’re wondering what maintenance you need to do and how often you need to be doing it. The answer is that you should be performing monthly maintenance monthly. Maintenance is easy and doesn’t take long for WSUS servers that have been well maintained from the start However, if it has been some time since WSUS maintenance was done, the cleanup may be more difficult/time consuming the first time. It will be much easier/faster in subsequent months."

    As I told it before I reinstalled WSUS and It is synchronizing. I've already applied some patch to a windows client but I would like to either remove or disappear or better know the origin of this message to make it disappear
