How to remove "New Outlook" from windows 10?

We recently encountered an issue after receiving an update that introduced the "new Outlook" on our Windows 10 system. Seens our Office 365 basic work email doesn't permit the use of Outlook desktop we would like to stick to windows mail as our desktop mail software.

As stated, previously, we seamlessly utilized Windows Mail with our work email. However, despite attempting to revert back to Windows Mail, the issue persists after each reboot and we are presented with the new outlook. Therefore, we're seeking guidance on how to completely uninstall the new Outlook from our Windows 10 system to prevent this from happening.

Uninstall the new Outlook - uninstall the app in Windows Settings: Open Windows Settings > Apps. Find Outlook (New) under installed apps and click the dots to the right of the name and choose Advanced options- then Uninstall. That will remove the app and the profile.

Neither of those keys exist. Should they be in HKEY_CURRENT_USER or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE? I've got an HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook but that's as far as it goes.

It would be easier if they get IMAP/SMTP/POP3 running in New Coke. I mean New Outlook. If Microsoft is trying to force <microsoft proprietary email> onto us by simply not supporting email protocols that have existed since time began, they are going to find themselves on the long end of that short pier. I personally don't care what email client I'm using as long as it works. So far New Coke, oops, I mean New Outlook just doesn't work. I'll move on if Microsoft doesn't.

I mainly use my personal google account anyway. I just use outlook for work - and work uses some garbage email company because it's cheap. I have no skin in this game. I just want it to work and I seriously don't care how it's done. Right now New Coke doesn't work. I mean New Outlook. The problem is New Coke comes up by default. Every. Single. Time. I can't read company email with it.

Uninstalling the "new outlook" does not work. After uninstalling, when you click to open Window Mail, it prompts you to the Windows Store to download the "new outlook". Very frustrating.

Microsoft is trying the "one micrososoft way" approach to abandoning imap/smtp. It's not going to work this time. I'd love to use new coke but it simply DOES NOT WORK FOR MY COMPANIES CHEAP EMAIL PROVIDER. Period. Kind of a shame really.

Good morning, Hope you are doing great.

Basically, you can go to Windows Start and search for Outlook, you will see both Outlook, there is Outlook with PREfor the new Outlook in which you can open by olk.exe and the other Outlook for classic Outlook in which you can use Outlook.exe to open it.

However, if the "New Outlook" button disappeared, try running Regedit.exe and go here (or the same with 15.0 if you don't have 16.0):

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences
• And in this you will see UseNewOutlook
• Set it to 0, which means that running old Outlook actually runs it.

Additionally, you can use, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\General

• REG_DWORD "HideNewOutlookToggle"
• Set to 0 (default) - The "Try the new Outlook" toggle, if available on the selected update channel, is displayed to users.
• Set to 1 - the "Try the new Outlook" toggle is hidden.
