Hi,

My laptop running on Win11 can successfully detect my bluetooth headset and I can see the input volume bar move automatically but not for output one and there is no sound. When I use Troubleshooting to detect and fix sound issues, the problem is temporarily resolved until I close the Troubleshooting window. It looks like I need to run the sound troubleshooting and leave the window open so the earbuds can work. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Betty,

    I'm Amr, an independent advisor.

Do your earbuds works on another device?

Did you try to repair your earbuds?

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot your Bluetooth earbuds issue:

    1. Check your audio output settings

Go to Settings > System > Sound. Under "Choose your output device," make sure your Bluetooth earbuds are selected.

    1. Update your Bluetooth drivers

Go to Device Manager > Bluetooth. Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select "Update driver."

    1. Re-pair your Bluetooth earbuds

Remove your earbuds from the list of paired devices in your Bluetooth settings, then pair them again.

    1. Check for interference

Other Bluetooth devices or electronics can sometimes interfere with Bluetooth connections.

Try turning off other devices or moving to a different location to see if that helps.

    1. Reset your Bluetooth earbuds

Follow your earbuds' manual for instructions on how to reset them.

This usually involves holding down a button for a certain amount of time.

    1. Try your earbuds on a different device

This can help you determine if the problem is with the earbuds themselves or with your laptop.

    1. Contact the manufacturer

If none of the above steps works, there might be a problem with the earbuds themselves.

You might need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance.

I hope this is helpful. If you require any additional assistance, don't hesitate to respond to this.

    HIi

    I have a similar problem.

But I'm sure the problem is with my laptop. My earbuds are working on other devices. And my wired earphones are also not working now on my laptop.

When i connect my earbuds to the laptop, it says connected but when i check for my output devices, it is not showing up.

    I'm quite concerned actually.

Please do let me know if you know any solution to this issue.

i have the same question. i have three sets of Shokz headphones and all of them quit working with my laptop. a week ago they all worked. (i only have one set paired at a time) they work on my phone and with my tablet. they show they are connected and the volume bar moves up and down as i adjust the headphones. i have removed them. uninstalled the bluetooth drivers. reinstalled the drivers. re installed the headphones. my bluetooth mouse still works and my phone still pairs with my computer. Baffled

Open Sound Settings -> Advanced Sound Options (Click on the App volume and device preferences)

Under App Volume and Device Preferences, select your Earbud device for your Out Put and Input options in the top.

    FIX FOR THIS SOLUTION!!

I've been using kvidio headphones i got from amazon and they connect to my mobile phone but not to my laptop. I've tried all that people said and it never worked. Until i right-clicked the sound icon at the bottom right of the screen, went into sound settings, scroll down to advanced sound options and click "App Volume and Device Preferences". Youtube wasn't letting me play, and i just had to set google chrome to my headphone output!

    Hope this helps someone
