Word 2016 - Problem with printing selected pages

I am facing a problem with printing selected pages in Word 2016 - after choosing this option nothing happens. I checked similar functions in other programs, e.g. Acrobat Reader, Power Point 2016, OpenOffice Writer, but they work normally without any troubles.
Its interesting that printing the whole document and printing the current page in Word 2016 work normally.
My printer is DCP700W.
My Word 2016 and Windows 10 are up-to-date.
I have tried to have my Word 2016 repaired in the control panel but it did not help.

Does anybody have an idea how to fix this problem?

    thanks a lot for such a quick answer! It has helped perfectly, the problem is fixed!!!
    I tried to mark all the asterisks when evaluating your response, but I am afraid I may have chosen the exact opposite. I am very sorry If this is really so
