Why are you providing Ms-DOS with all the operating system? cant windows run without DOS?.

    Many DOS commands work in the Command Prompt and are useful additions to Windows.  MS-DOS is not part of Windows just the pseudo  Command Prompt.

    No one is providing MS-DOS with windows - you do get a command prompt emulator that is *like* the old MS-DOS.  However - Windows no longer runs on top of DOS.
