    Hello AtulSharma9,

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today. I understand you have a problem with Windows 2004 update not yet available on your device.

Microsoft is taking its usual gradual process to rolling out the upgrade, offering the upgrade in stages beginning with those whose devices Microsoft believes are the most likely to successfully install the update.

If you don't receive the update yet on your Windows 10 Pro PC, Microsoft possibly detect compatibility issues on your device, These holds are due to conflicts that could cause applications not to run correctly.

You can either wait for another month to let the feature update 2004 to mature and be more stable or Download the Windows 2004 ISO using media creation tool and try to upgrade manually.

Important: Back up your personal data and files to an external hard drive, USB thumb drive, or cloud location (such as OneDrive) before you begin any reinstall of Windows 10.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Download the Windows 2004 ISO using media creation tool and save it to your computer. Instructions inside the link.

Disable completely the internet on your computer, reboot the computer and install the iso.

Make sure to select Keep personal files and apps.

It might take some time to install Windows 10. Your computer will restart a few times, Make sure you don’t turn off your PC.

You can reactivate the internet after.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further concerns.

    Sincerely

    John DeV

Thank you very much sir for your interest in my problem. I would like to inform you that I am having a

HP Laptop 15 bw0xx. AMD A6-9220, Radeon R4. My C: Drive is having 425 GB of free space but i have a lot of my company's data here. So It seems to be impossible for me to use this method . But I want this update as i have been instructed my client to use VMWare to design your ideas. So the VMWare application requires 20H1 Update. Well I ran the trouble shooter. It detected no problems. My CPU Design is 64 Bit. I tried to use the Windows 10 Update assistant, it succesfully updated my pc but while its reboot to complete the update, my pc Showed colour glitch (Maybe due to display file corruption. If there can be a solution for this, then it may be a good idea

( Shall i Really use the Windows 10 Update Assistant )

    Regards

    Hello AtulSharma9,

Thank you for updating me that information. After you have tried the windows 10 update assistant, Did your PC upgrade to version 2004 successfully?

On the link on my previous reply, You can download the media creation tool then choose the Upgrade this PC now with "Keep my files" option selected.

    Yes Sir,

thanks for giving your time to me

I used the Update Assistant. It was succesfully completed.

But when it demanded restart, i did it but ......... when my windows was booting, it showed a colour glitch and did not proceed further until i had to do the hard shut down ( press and holding power button until pc turns off ). Can i recover and execute the update file which was downloaded ??

Will try Media creation tool but i have two questions.

    1. Is it similiar to the Update Assistant
    2. Will it install a dual boot copy of windows when i choose update this pc.

    If any more solutions

    Please kindly inform me

    Regards,

    AtulSharma9

    Hello AtulSharma9,

Thank you for updating me that information. Its similar in a way that it can help you to upgrade your Windows to the latest version. You can create a USB installation media out of it. It will not install a dual boot copy of windows if you choose the upgrade this PC option. It will just bring your current version to 2004.

**Few things to check on the PC

Important: Back up your personal data and files to an external hard drive, USB thumb drive, or cloud location (such as OneDrive) before you begin any reinstall of Windows 10.

Ensure you are signed in or have administrator rights to do a repair install

Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting

Disable or uninstall any 3rd party Anti-Virus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade

Kindly try to use the media creation tool.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Download the media creation tool and save it to your computer.

Open the tool and select Upgrade this PC now.

Make sure to select Keep personal files and apps.

It might take some time to install Windows 10. Your computer will restart a few times, Make sure you don’t turn off your PC.

    Sincerely
