I have systems that are not allowed to be on any network however I need to be able to patch and update Office 2019 offline. Is there any way to perform such task?
My systems have Windows 10 1809 LTSC.

I am following this thread and too are having an issue. I would like to do the same thing, but wanted to know how can I use SCCM to move the update folder multiple machines for the clients to pull from the CF agent, or is that possible?

Hello @Emily Hua-MSFT ,

To add some more information. None of my systems are connected even to each other and I can only proceed with any updates via CDs, or DVDs which means I have to burn the patches/updates once ensuring that the media cannot be changed afterwards. To answer part of your question; I do not have a computer that will have Office 2019 however I do have other computers like this one that can download patches, KBs, etc. and get them burned onto a disk.

Unfortunately, I do not have the CDN.

Thanks for your reply and explanation.
But sorry, I do not have DVDs or CDs to test for you, following is my personal ideas.

Please make sure DVDs or CDs shows the same drive letter on each device, then you can try to use ODT and xml file that specifies the update source to a folder on the DVD or CD via Updates element.
And then download the update files (Office folder like following image), put these installation files on a DVD or CD.

Hi @Emily Hua-MSFT , I'm also trying to do the same thing using pro plus 2019. The clients do not have internet access but would be able to access a shared folder on a server that does.

Sorry, but can you be a bit more specific on how to achieve this please? I'm fine with editing the xml and added a location, but what am I actually downloading into a shared folder?

For example, do I use the deployment tool to download and install office to a shared folder rather than the default location, and install as normal on that device. If so, which folder am I required to select as the update location, If that makes sense? Sorry, I'm just really unsure on the steps!

Hi @Victor Salvador

Is there at least one machine that can be connected to the Internet to download the update source? If so, then you are able to let Office 2019 get updates from an external device (Such as USB) or shared folder in your internal network. For more, please refer to "Configure where Office 2019 gets updates from".

Please note, if there is no internal network either as the image shown above, you can download the Office installation files to one external device.
Besides, under this case, we need to download the whole Office 2019 installation files as a update source. The newest build includes all the latest security and quality updates. Existing Office 2019 will figure out what’s different between the update source and it-self that’s installed on the computer to install.

To download the Office 2019, you can use ODT and configuration file (.xml file). In addition, we can add "UpdatePath" to specify where to get security and quality updates from.
