I would just add DP Role to the second server, add it to correct boundary group and create a distribution group. Put both DPs in the DP group and redistribute the content to the group. Once all content has been transferred, I would remove the first DP from the group and boundary and test to make sure all your deployments are going well. Once you verify that all is good, you can remove DP role from the first server and shut it down.

There is no direct tool for this. You can do one of two things:

    1. Use prestaged content: This basically allows you to export the content from the old DP and import it on the new DP.
    2. Make the new DP a Pull-DP and set the old DP as the upstream DP. Assign the content to the new DP and it will be copied from the old DP.

Thank you for coming Microsoft Q&A forum.

Agree with above replies. We can prestage content to add the content files to the content library on a site server or distribution point to throttle network bandwidth. Please refer to: SCCM 1806-TO CREATE PRE-STAGED CONTENT FILE FOR DISTRIBUTION POINTS.

Here is another workaround to accomplish the goal: Moving the content library to a remote shared location (Please make sure that the site server doesn’t have the distribution point role).
