Combined with what you mentioned below, I think you may need to use other compatibility modes of Edge IE mode. E.g the IE5 mode
you mentioned.
If this is the case, you can refer to this doc: Configure IE mode policies. Among them you mainly need to follow the first two steps. And the sites.xml
file in second step, you can use the <compat-mode>
tag to control the compatibility mode of the site. Something like this image result.
Note: The prerequisite for the above is that you can currently use Edge IE mode normally without the Internet Explorer not found
error. Otherwise you may want to refer to the following:
You can't install IE11 in windows11, what you can do is add Internet Explorer mode
in windows feature to use Edge IE mode, just follow these steps:
- Open windows setting, and choose
Apps
. - Select
Optional features
in the list on the right. - Click
view feature
in optionadd an optional feature
. - Type
Internet Explorer
in textbox. - Select checkbox of
Internet Explorer mode
. - Click Next and then install.
- Restart your computer.
