I have a 2012 Domain Controller. I also have a 2019 server which is present in the "Computers" container in the active directory of the Domain controller. What I am trying to do is to exclude this 2019 machine so that no configured policy is applied.
On the 2012 Domain controller in the Group Policies, based on some of the STIGS settings I have made some updates in the "Default Domain Policy" which has affected this 2019 machine. I would like to test and see if the issue is really caused by the STIGS settings updated in the Default domain polices.
Can this be a solution that I can make a new OU in the Active Directory and move this 2019 machine in the new OU so that no policies can apply to this machine. Since the updates were made in the "Default Domain Policy". Even if I move the 2019 machine to the new OU would the policies still apply or please advise on how can I make this machine not to get any configured policies.
