So I already have a working GPO that sets my default browser to Chrome and make the necessary changes to the browser, but is there a way that I can prevent users from modifying their default apps at all? We have lab computers and do not want the student accounts to modify the defaults. Thanks in advance.

Would also suggest you lockdown the control panel and settings app if that is possible in your situation.
