I'd try to merge the checkpoints before the export / import operation.

I exported a VM to import it on the same server but on another disk. The export happened normally, however, the import is stopped in "preparing virtual hard disk destination" for a long time.
Has anyone seen something similar? Thanks.

For information: The version is Windows Server 2016 Datacenter. I also checked the Hyper-V logs and there are no useful logs. Thanks.
Might try copying the VHD to final destination, then create a new virtual machine then when you get to step Connect Virtual Hard Disk choose Use an existing and point to the new location VHD

Thanks for the help, doing this way I managed to complete the import. But what stands out in Hyper-V is that any import/export process is limited to 4096KB and does not proceed. For example, after the import I started the process of enabling replication, hyper-v created the disks on the replica server but limited to 4096 KB and continued from there. What could be the cause of this limitation?
