Hi all.
When downloading a large number of files OneDrive, the system hangs and reboots on Mac OS.
It doesn't happen often. Only when a lot of small files are downloaded. Reinstalling OneDrive doesn't help.

Hello,
Thanks for getting back and updating us.
In this situation, please launch your Mac in the Safe Mode and see whether you can work normally when performing the download action in the OneDrive browser?
In addition, can I know the number of files you are trying to download and the size of the content you are trying to download?
Appreciate your patience!!
Best Regards,
Mia
The files are downloaded from OneDrive to my computer.
The problem is not the version. The previous version had the same problem.
Hello,
As per the description shared, I understand your problem i.e., you are experiencing the system hang when you are downloading the files in your OneDrive but I would like to confirm whether you are syncing the files on your Mac and clicking on Download all files in the OneDrive sync client settings or select the files and downloading the content in the OneDrive?
Moreover, neither action should cause you the problem of system hanging unless you are syncing more than 100,000 files but syncing more than the limitation file will not cause hanging but gives you a processing error.
So, I would like to suggest you launch your Mac in the Safe Mode to see whether the function you are trying runs smoothly without any problem.
Moreover, about your question to James Fred, the features of the OneDrive version from the AppStore is similar to the Standalone version of OneDrive but they are two different apps and many users mentioned some of the problems are fixed by using the Standalone version of OneDrive sync client. The production version of OneDrive Standalone is 22.089.0426.0003, so to narrow down the behavior you can try installing the Production version from the release notes: OneDrive release notes.
Appreciate your understanding!!
Best Regards,
Mia
Hi,
As you are using the OneDrive version from the AppStore, can you try uninstalling the AppStore version and install the Standalone version?
