Hello,

Since a recent Office 365 update, SharePoint 2016 datasheet view is not working anymore with Interner Explorer and closes IE when trying to switch to datasheet view.
For information, we are using Datasheet View for SharePoint 2013-2019 addin for to get datasheet view working with SharePoint 2016, and it's not the issue.

I think this issue started with office 365 build 14326.20784 upgrade.

In the event log, I have the following error for Internet Explorer, and it seems related to mso20win32client.dll.

Is there a fix for this issue ?
Thanks

Office 365 dropped support for IE (all versions) as of Aug of last year, see here. As mentioned there, after that date no support is available anymore. Sharepoint is covered here.

At this point my guess is a change was made in Office 365 that is not compatible with IE, because it isn't supported anymore.

KWizCom the editor of the Datasheet view addin has released an upgade for the server side (SharePoint 2016+) and a patch for the client side. It supposed to fix this issue. I'll try it and will post the result
