How do I update windows media player on my laptop? currently using windows 8.1

You may either check for updates manually or configure Windows media player to check for updates automatically.

To configure Windows media player to check for updates automatically, please follow these steps:

a. Open Windows media player and click organize.

b. Click options and then click player tab.

c. Under "Automatic updates", you may select either "once a day", "once a week" or "once a month" in "Check for updates" section.

To check the updates manually, please follow these steps:

a. Open Windows media player and press Alt key to open menu.

b. Click help and then click check for updates.
