when doing copy activity, Performance tuning of source SQL VM

Question

When doing copy activity with ADF, how can I handle the performance of source SQL VM?

I've already read some performance tuning guide when doing copy activity in ADF but all of those docs is for copy activity not for source SQL VM.

What I want to know is how to cover the performance of the original SQL VM when performing bulk copy operations in ADF.

As we understand the ask here is how to do a performance tuning of SQL VM while working with ADF , please do let us know if its not accurate.
As I understand that you can have one of two options

1. If you are already having an ADF pipeline created and have SQL VM source and you are facing a performnace issues . 2. You are trying to develop a pipeline and try to know as to how to make it perform better . If thats the case You can read this . Though it calls out Azure SQL , this should apply for SQL VM also .
