Visual Studio Community 2019 and 2022 side by side recents issue

I am running VS 2019 and 2022 Community side by side. I am finding that the "Recent projects and solutions" menu seems to be the same on both. For example if I open project in 2019 it will appear in 2022 even though I don't want to use 2022 for that particular project.

Is this a known issue?

    Hi @Ali Khan ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

I suppose it is designed like this. If you don’t want to use that project in VS2022, you can right click on the xxx.sln in the recent list and remove it from list.

If you have any suggestion about the feature, you can directly report it to product team by selecting “Help” menu > Send Feedback.

Thank you for helping us build a better Visual Studio!

    Sincerely,
    Anna

For me, as I need to use vs2019 and vs2022 with different settings, this is so annoying and trouble making.

In this type of situation, I use the open with option and select Visual Studio manually.
