Unable to establish connection via app token

Unable to establish connection via app token. We are able to login to Azure Database for MYSQL Single server using admin id and token. Then, we created user and created token via app and tried logging. The login is successful, however whilst browsing webapp link, it throws "Error establishing a database connection". Kindly assist.
