Huge fps drop after factory reset

Question

i got a virus so i factory reset my computer. ive noticed that after the reset my computer has started performing a bit worse. i used to get 200fps on valorant but now it doesnt go above 150 and thats the peak. many times it has happened that it runs in the low 90s and its just become unbearable.

i have the most recent drivers for my gpu which is a 3050

the specs are- ryzen 5 5600H
rtx 3050
8gb ram
im pretty sure the virus i got was a trojan but no guarantee

I can understand you are facing performance issue with your PC.

As you mentioned there was some Virus infected , I am afraid that it may be infected on your Data folders as well.

In this Case I will advise you to do update Antivirus with latest version and do FULL System Scan including boot sector Scan.

Also , please check your Disk for any potential bad sectors using below command.

chkdsk /f /r C:\
