Hello
I need to have an offline version of VS.net PRO 2022 for .NET Framework Dev only, no .NET Core or .NET Standard is needed!
I just used this command:

VisualStudioSetup.exe --layout C:\VS.NET --add Microsoft.VisualStudio.Workload.ManagedDesktop --add Microsoft.Net.ComponentGroup.TargetingPacks.Common --add Microsoft.VisualStudio.Component.DiagnosticTools --lang en-US

The above command downloaded a folder of 3GB but when I installed it:
New project > Visual Basic > Windows > Desktop > I just have .NET 6.0 (long-term-support)
No .NET Framework 4.8!
Is that an option needs to be enabled? or I need to change the above download command and re-download the VS Pro?
Thanks for advise.

    Hi @OSVBNET ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

I tested it through using the following command line and could create a .NET Framework 4.8 project:
    VisualStudioSetup.exe --layout C:\VS.NET --add Microsoft.VisualStudio.Workload.ManagedDesktop --add Microsoft.Net.ComponentGroup.TargetingPacks.Common --add Microsoft.VisualStudio.Component.DiagnosticTools --lang en-US

I suppose you are using the Windows Forms App project template which is used for .NET and not .NET Framework. You should select the Windows Forms App (.NET Framework) project template.
