Hi. I have a .mdb file which I do not know which version of ms access was used to create it. When I try to open it, I get "Unrecognized database format" error. I tried using MS ACCESS 2003 and 2007 and libreOffice x86 and x64 versions. Is there a way to open it?

You have a result in the other thread on MS Tech Community. It turns out this is NOT an mdb. Follow on from there please. It's a waste of time to try to pursue the same question in two places, both for you and the people trying to help.

Is this file on the local PC?

    What do file properties show?

Were you able to open it previously?

If it won't open in 2003 or 2007, then the file is probably corrupted. Access 2003 should open any mdb file.

Where did it come from? If Access 2003 can't open it, and it returns the "Unrecognized database format" error, it's highly likely Access is telling the truth--that mdb is corrupted.

There is an app that's built on that file, and the app is working fine. And it uses that file.
