FSLogix Profile containers, office containers or both

Hi all,
New to fsLogix.

I'm still a little confused by the doco to be honest and would like some clarity on:

  • Does the profile container include office data automatically? Or do i need to specifically enable to the office container as well ?
  • If it does, i assume i still need to select some items within the GPO such as "include teams data" and other specific items for outlook, sharepoint etc.
  • It seems to be possible to use both Profile and Office containers - if the above is true (That the profile container includes office data) - in what scenario would you do this ?

Thanks.

My Assumption is that the Profile will contain both unless you also use the office container or use exclude a folder in your redirections.xml

Yes you can use both a Profile container and the Office Container at the same time.

    Hi,

I recommend Profile and Office (OFDC) container, because it makes management easier.
The OFDC can be deleted anytime as it contains more or less only cached data, e.g. OST File.
