Cannot create Server for Azure SQL Database (not a VM)

I am create an Azure SQL Database with my free subscription.. The process involves creating a Server for the database to reside on (not a VM).

When typing the Server name I get an error saying the server name can only contain upper/lower case, numbers and the character - in the server name (but not at the beginning or end of the server name.

I named my server jw-SQLServer, then I tried jwSQLServer so I don't know why I am getting this error.
This portal does not allow me to upload a screenshot of the error.

Any guidance would be a great help!

    ok I found the answer. I was using uppercase characters and you can't use uppercase.
    It's been a long day.....
