Information barrier Issue "administrator has disabled chat for the user"

Hello Teams Community,

We are having this issue with the Information barrier Issue "administrator has disabled chat for the user".

On April 25th 2022 it was observed that few users couldn't communicate with each other, error was "administrator has disabled chat for the user" Also, users who experienced this issue had no IB policy applied ever in the past.

We want to know why this happened.

Issue was fixed automatically after couple of hours.

Does this issue also happened in Teams web client before it fixed?

In my experience, Teams administrator has access to disable chat for specific user. It's a good choice for you to contact with your administrator to know why they disabled your chat.
